Alexander Octavio-Cortez Delivers Another Verbal Broadside at SXSW Conference

The Socialist mouth that roared

New York Rep., Alexander Octavio-Cortez (Octavio-Cortez), let loose with another verbal fusillade of her hard-left ideological extremism at the South by Southwest Conference (SXSW) in Austin, Texas on Saturday. The SXSW, originally a tech-based event, now incorporates entertainment and politics as part of its overall mission.

The crowd at the event was comprised largely of progressive millennial and other liberal Democrats who came to hear Democratic Party presidential hopefuls speak before the crowd. Although Massachusetts’ Senator Elizabeth Warren and former Starbucks CEO, Howard Schultz both attended the event, Octavio-Cortez was clearly the rock star of the day, cheered wildly by her numerous avid followers who attended, many of whom waited in a line that snaked around the building, just to hear her speak.

Octavio-Cortez did not disappoint her enraptured socialist admirers, who ate up the red meat she served with enthusiasm. Octavio-Cortez intimated that the current political/socio-economic sated of America “is garbage,” and needs an immediate injection of her utopian socialist Green New Deal in order to make the country worthy of progressive ideals of social justice, diversity and economic equality.

Octavio-Cortez called former President Ronald Reagan, a “racist,” who pitted the white working class against minorities. She also called the New Deal of Democratic Party icon, FDR, “an exercise in racism,” claiming that the public works program left African Americans and Latino’s behind.

It is interesting to note that Octavio-Cortez’s unprecedented and sharp rebuke of two of the country’s most beloved presidents comes only days after her fellow-traveller and progressive bomb-thrower, Ilhan Omar, harshly criticized Democratic Party demigod, former President Barack Obama as undeserving of adulation, calling his Hope and Change mantra fraudulent and largely ineffectual.

House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, leader of the Democratic Party in name only, clearly before the 2020 presidential election.
