Senator Warren Caught Embellishing Her Past Yet Again

Tall tale of her being fired once she became pregnant, is intended to cement her appeal to progressive Democratic Party primary voters

It appears that Senator Elizabeth Warren has been caught embellishing her carefully crafted identity politics autobiography once again. This mythological incident concerns her stint as a special needs teacher in New Jersey back in the early 1970’s. Real Clear Politics explains,

In a campaign speech she repeats at town halls while crisscrossing the country, the Massachusetts senator tells of graduating from the University of Houston and being hired by the Riverdale Board of Education in New Jersey as a speech pathologist during the 1970–71 school year. She says she’d planned to continue teaching but got pregnant and, once she began showing, “The principal did what principals do: Wished me luck, showed me the door and hired someone else for the job.”

The problem is that Warren herself, years later, appears to contradict this tall tale. During a 2007 interview with the University of California at Berkeley, Warren seems to tell a different story,

“I worked with the children with disabilities. I did that for a year, and then that summer, I actually didn’t have the education courses, so I was on an ‘emergency certificate,’” she says in it. “I went back to graduate school and took a couple of courses in education and said, ‘I don’t think this is going to work out for me.’ I was pregnant with my first baby, so I had a baby and stayed home for a couple of years, and I was really casting about, thinking, ‘What am I going to do?’”

Further evidence of her mendacity was provided by Minutes of a June 6, 1971, board meeting held two months later, after she left, stating that Warren’s resignation was “accepted with regret.”

The reason for Warren’s calculated prevarication, is to cement her bona fides with the Democratic Party’s primary voters endearment and attachment to the pernicious ideas of identity politics and the primacy of victimology. The patently false story also buttresses Warren’s well-crafted fable that she, had an experience that she claims, “millions of women will recognize,” as a victim of pregnancy discrimination.

Warren lied about her Native-American ancestry, knowing full well that her identity politics claim would help ensure her being hired by Harvard law school as its “token” Native American, providing the school the occasion to congratulate itself on its progressive virtue. By hiring Warren, Harvard could also demonstrate that it was no longer an academic bastion of White Supremacy and the Patriarchy.

Warren now has been caught with her pants down twice. Her bald-face lie that she had Cherokee blood, blew up in her face and subjected her to richly-deserved criticism for using this fabrication to help her further her career. President Trump, recognizing the target-rich opportunity Warren served up on a silver platter, mercilessly mocked her endlessly as “Pocahontas.”

This latest falsehood is further evidence of her inauthenticity and bad faith, in order for her to continue to further her professional ambitions.

How much will exposing this lie harm Warren? Since Warren belongs to the same party as 99% of political journalists, the media will certainly not be interested in the story. John Kass of the Chicago Tribune notes, “And much of the media, which leans left, would rather not consider this story. They’re consumed by Trump Impeachment Theater, allowing them to fixate instead on Orange Man Bad, or Trump=Joker.”

Only time will tell if Warren will be able to bury this biographical hoax and mitigate, with the assistance of the mainstream media, the damage to her candidacy.
